Donations, Memorials and Gifts

 

The Pennsauken Free Public Library is pleased to accept gifts as a memorial or other remembrance to honor your loved ones.

To recognize a loved one, friend or special occasion with a gift to the Pennsauken Free Public Library, you may:

  • Fill out this form and mail to:

  • Purchase a leaf on Ira's Tree of Knowledge through the Friends of the Pennsauken Library

You may specify that we use your monetary donation for specific types of items such as books, audio/visual materials, magazine subscriptions, furniture, equipment, special program funds, or general library use.

A donation in any amount is gratefully accepted. The following is only a guideline as to the average cost of an item:

  • Book: $20 - $30
  • Audiobook: $30 - $60
  • DVD: $15 - $30
  • Music CD: $10 - $20
  • Magazine: $20-$30

When possible, we will acknowledge your donation by:

  • Sending a card to the individual or family notifying them that a gift or memorial has been made in their honor.
  • Sending a card to you acknowledging your donation.
  • Placing a bookplate in the material listing the person in whose memory or honor the donation was made and that of the donor. A plaque may be affixed to furniture or equipment.

Please check with the Systems Administration Librarian to determine if gifts of books or other materials are appropriate for the Pennsauken Public Library's collection. Approved items must be in new or almost new condition. Donations of computer hardware, peripherals or software will be refused due to security considerations

Items donated to the Friends of the Pennsauken Library, a 501 (c) (3) organization, will be provided a receipt for tax purposes.
